It was a major highlight of my day to spend time talking with Lae. As mentioned before, she was an art teacher, and a Vietnam War veteran before that. Her son shared an interest in art too, but sadly, he went blind one day. Rather than let it hold him down though, he went on to learn how to become a coder for apps. Being blind did not stop him! Sounds like he inherited some of his momma's tough side.

Between hearing some of Lae's story and getting to meet Bandit, it felt like a perfect and wholesome way to end off a good day. Being able to people like Lae is yet another reason I love this town.
